The Role In the rapidly expanding world of AI and HPC, solid system level integration and validation become paramount. Our DCGPU solutions, including APUs and GPUs, demand rigorous testing for optimum performance and reliability. In this role, you will be a key leader in the Systems Design Engineering team managing a team of validation automation engineers. The Person The right candidate will have a solid background in enabling SoC / platform / system level validation including system level stress and performance through the development of test automation frameworks, tools and data solutions. Must possess the ability to coordinate and lead automation development activities, influence process changes and alignment within peer teams, and have strong analytical skills. Out‑of‑box critical thinking and recognition and drive of process improvements are a must. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of software and hardware validation automation engineers that work directly on the implementation of platform and system level control tools, data collection tools, test frameworks and data processing tools. Work as part of the broader team responsible for the execution of Instinct product system validation plans. Define, plan and drive project automation roadmaps and delivery schedules – ensure coordination with other validation architects and cross‑functional teams in terms of scope and alignment on deliverables and schedules. Bring system validation experience that will identify and plan for high‑risk test coverage early in the test cycle ensuring the required common automation elements are built. Work effectively with stakeholders outside of the direct organization as well as external vendors to ensure deliverables are clear, aligned and of highest quality. Recruit and hire key talent candidates for a growing organization. Coach, mentor and develop technical talent within the team. Recognize areas of improvement and help drive recommendations for organizational initiatives. Communicate clearly and concisely with direct reports as well as management. Clearly present plans, status and elevate for support. Preferred Experience Technical experience in developing automation software to enable SoC emulation / validation and system level validation. Proven track record of developing and architecting Python and other object‑oriented software‑based test solutions in a team environment. Experience with creating modular and maintainable code adhering to best practices. Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management. Ability to define plans, map out schedules and resource needs, and recruit the necessary resources to execute on plans. Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items with follow‑up. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, and to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis. Experience in data analytics and report generation. Experience in cross‑OS development in Linux and Windows environments (preferred). Engineering background (preferred). Solid industry experience (preferred) with direct team management experience. Academic Credentials BS Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Location Vancouver, BC or Austin, TX.
