  1. Perform nuclear medicine procedures using advanced imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
  2. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review patient medical histories, determine appropriate imaging techniques, and interpret scan results.
  4. Use computer software to process and manipulate images, ensuring accurate measurements and calculations.
  5. Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and radiation doses administered, adhering to regulatory requirements and privacy regulations.
  6. Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines, including monitoring radiation levels and implementing appropriate safety measures.
  7. Stay up to date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a recognized diploma in Ontario or degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  2. Current registration and in good standing with the relevant professional licensing body.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, preferably in a hospital or medical imaging center.
  4. Proficiency in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and PET/CT imaging.
  5. Strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety protocols, and image acquisition techniques.
  6. Familiarity with medical imaging software and computer systems used in nuclear medicine.
