Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the full-time Elementary School Teacher will be wide in scope and will include many different tasks and responsibilities. Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: - Design, plan, and organize daily instruction for Mandarin reading, writing, listening and speaking; - Assign and correct homework - Evaluate the progress of students and discuss results with students, parents and school officials - Identify childrens' individual learning needs - Motivate students toward academic success in the Mandarin - Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness - Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops - Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum - Select and requisition Mandarin books, instructional materials and instructional supplies and maintains required inventory records - Prepare, administer and correct tests - Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field trips
Salary
49,400 annually / 37.5 hours per Week
Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree
Experience
1 year to less than 2 years
Language
Fluent in both Mandarin and English, able to use traditional and simplified characters, as well as zhuyin and pinyin systems to teach students.

Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
