Our High Prairie Forest Products division in Alberta is recruiting for a Millwright.As the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), you will be a key player in our continuous maintenance improvement program through daily troubleshooting and preventative maintenance strategies.You'll DoWork safely using established SOPs, following all lockouts and protocols, and completing PTHAs.Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyors, various belt and chain transfer and drive systems, sawing, debarking, sorting, stacking, and compressors.Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery.Work in man-lifts with the use of fall protection equipment.Repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves and cylinders.Work positively in a team environment.You HaveCommitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace.Sawmill experience is an asset.A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification or a Millwrighting Apprentice preparing to enroll in their 4th year.Mechanical aptitude; excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work closely with other trades and employees.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Flexible schedule for workdays, nights, and weekend shifts.Compensation PackageThe hourly pay rate for this position is $49.18 for a certified Journeyperson and $43.59 for a certified 4th-year apprentice.West Fraser will provide a 4th-year apprentice with the hours and schooling required to reach certified JourneypersonOutstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.Relocation package available to a qualified, successful candidate.Your Workplace Location:High Prairie is a town in northern Alberta, Canada, within Big Lakes County, home to about 2,500 residents.
