Financial Controller

Our client, the BIG FOUR consulting firm, is hiring for the Controller position in Winnipeg. This is a contract position. The hourly compensation rate is negotiable. The end client is in themanufacturing industry.The role is full-time time meaning the contractor's working hours would be 37.5 hours/week
The Controller will be responsible for but is not limited to:
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Period-end financial reporting and working paper preparation
- Financial management
- Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and inputs
- Understanding, implementing, and monitoring an adequate control environment
- Supervise an accounting team
- Accounting software literacy and ability to transact in multiple programs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced level of MS Office Suite proficiency (e.g., MS Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Understanding, implementing, and monitoring an adequate control environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as, on a team.
Requirements:
- CPA
- Previous experience as financial controller in manufacturing industry
- Oversight of full cycle accounting team
- Review of accounting reconciliations, transactions, and working papers
- Preparation of accounting working papers and schedules
- Financial reporting experience
