Our Claims team strives to create peace of mind for our clients and communities. As the Claims Vendor Management Consultant you will be the relationship owner and vendor expert for specific vendor categories within the department to achieve business strategies and objectives. You will embed client experience, quality services, cost controls, compliance, contract fulfillment, and sustainability principles within the vendor management program. How You Will Create Impact Manage policies, processes, and procedures for vendor category commitments, relationship management, and metrics and analysis. Direct consistent vendor workflows and cost control initiatives in specific vendor categories that drive the department and organizational objectives. Oversee contract fulfillment and participate in procurement activities and act as the main point of contact for vendors, including vendor investigation, privacy breach, cyber and general vendor risks. Ensure the success of the vendor management program through conducting and communicating regular performance reviews, including measures and results, with vendors and business leaders. Monitor customer and competitor landscape to adjust business plans, shift priorities, and elevate resolutions. Use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions. Communicate clearly and explore diverse points of view. Build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues. To Join Our Team Have five years of experience in technical claims, vendor management or procurement, including experience with business system applications. Have post‑secondary education. Have working knowledge of insurance activities, legal regulations, procurement processes, and contract agreement interpretation. Have demonstrated proficient experience working with data and analytics. Having the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation(s) is an asset.
