Google Cloud Platform Data Platform Administrator

The Desjardins Group Data Platforms Services Department is part of the Data and Foundations Administrative Department and is mainly responsible for putting capabilities in place to support the shift to a data-driven Desjardins. We implement Desjardins Group’s data platform (the essential foundation for supporting Desjardins’s data strategy) so we can ground our business practices in data and analytics. As a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Data Platform Administrator, you update and manage the marketing sector’s data platform. You work in a cloud-based environment that combines GCP and Azure, with targets built around Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC) and Continuous Deployment (CD). If you’re resourceful and you enjoy transformational projects and new technologies, this role is for you More specifically, you will be required to:* Direct and oversee work to keep commitments made to reach objectives* Help solve highly complex problems that require both a broad and detailed understanding of the business sector and the organization* Lead and advise as a platform specialist for your unit, clients and practitioners from other sectors* Develop complex execution strategies, and analyze, design and document business products and solutions* Analyze and develop software products (design, code, automate and run tests), while applying development, data and security best practices* Write procedures, guidelines and development methods* Help develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers* Cocreate with partners to get a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly* Identify system optimization opportunities and underlying impacts of changes* Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve highly complex operational and conceptual problems during major incidents* Lead software package installations and testing and application rollout**What we offer\**** Competitive salary and annual bonus* 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year* Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement* Group insurance including telemedicine* Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment\* *Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria.***What you bring to the table*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field* A minimum of six years of relevant experience in platform administration* Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered* Experience managing the Google Cloud Platform (Compute, networking, analytics, security, monitoring, DNS, Kubernetes)* Experience in IaC (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and pipeline management)* Experience in roles that require managing complex or urgent situations* Experience in fast-paced or high-pressure environments* Experience managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines* Analytics experience* Microsoft Azure certifications* Knowledge of French is required* Proficiency with scripting in PowerShell, Python or a similar language* Solid command of infrastructure: Proxy, firewall, Active directory, DNS, Telecommunications (network interconnection)* Knowledge of security rules configuration and implementation (RBAC, ABAC, Policy)* Knowledge of agile environments: Jira, ConfluenceAction oriented, Complexity, Customer Focus, Differences, Nimble learning, Plans and aligns, Tech savvy#LI-Hybrid**Trade Union (If applicable)**At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
