Care Team Coordinator (Medical Secretary) Summary Provides secretarial support for a surgeon clinic. Answers phones, registers/updates patient accounts and schedules appointments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Check in and checks out patients, ensuring completion of documentation. Coordinate follow up care including MRI, Surgery, PT, labs, etc. Enter and maintain physician and PA schedules, including loading each month template and coordinating provider schedule changes as they arise. Maintain test result log, ensuring all patients receive results in a timely manner. Answer phones and directs calls. Register patients or updates existing account information. Schedule appointments for patients. Communicate with other departments regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) plus years of secretarial experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Preferred: Degree in secretarial/business related field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
