The team provides advisory and assurance services for clients during their ESG reporting journey. This includes supporting clients navigating the impact of ESG factors on financial and regulatory reporting, aiding in the quantification and measurement of ESG metrics, building processes and control environments, and delivering assurance around ESG metrics and disclosures. The team works to embed ESG at the core of an organization’s purpose with an integrated thinking approach, bringing industry-specific sustainability perspectives and expertise in complex accounting, regulatory requirements, and overall communications in corporate reporting.What will your typical day look like?As a Senior Manager, you will:Lead implementation projects to support clients in complying with ISSB standards and CSRD requirements (amongst other standards and regulations).Prepare and deliver presentations and reporting updates to clients on technical developments in ESG reporting.Lead ESG assurance engagements, applying knowledge of ISAE 300/3410 and CSAE equivalents, and subject matter expertise in topics such as GHG emissions.Advise on the application of the GHG Protocol in determining GHG emissions.Research complex application and interpretive issues in ISSB and ESRS implementation.Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including completing proposals.Collaborate with others on climate change and sustainability matters across industries to provide expert insight on the impact of climate change on sustainability areas.Act as engagement manager, overseeing engagement delivery from scoping and team selection to delivery, risk and quality management, and budget control.Leverage subject matter knowledge to lead new business development opportunities and grow Deloitte’s ESG proposition.Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members.About the teamOur team culture is collaborative and encourages initiative and on‑the‑job learning. Quality is our top priority, and we focus on innovation to raise the bar on quality and deliver greater value to clients.Enough about us, let’s talk about youAs a Senior Manager, you are someone with:Undergraduate degree in accounting or business, or in sustainability management, climate policy, public policy, or a related environmental, social, or engineering discipline.CPA, CA designation or equivalent, and:Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with public companies; ORMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience with ESG-related standards and frameworks including ISSB, GRI, GHG Protocol, SASB, and TCFD.Strong audit or advisory technical skills, and solid knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.Ability to think strategically and research accounting standards and interpretive guidance.Effective consensus building, conflict resolution, and team leadership; ability to mentor junior staff.Experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitating decision making, documentation, and managing client expectations.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of green and social bonds, relevant principles, market challenges, and related processes is preferred.Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $100,000 - $205,000, with eligibility for our bonus program.
