For more information, please visit www.jamiesonwellness.com Overall Responsibilities The QC Technician will be responsible for sampling all inventory material, overseeing the paperwork and clerical duties and performing minor laboratory activities for the quality control department. This is a part-time 1 year contract role. Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties To follow instructions and procedures as outlined by the Quality Control Supervisor. To perform daily sampling of raw materials and purchased items upon receiving. To perform daily sampling of manufactured items and finished goods upon completion. To maintain overall sanitation of the sampling booths and their contents. To maintain quality documentation logs and checklists. To maintain laboratory tracking system log of sampled goods. To perform minor lab testing activities (i.e. Physical testing, administration duties) at the discretion of the Quality Control Supervisor. To perform water and environmental sampling activities (collection of all samples at ports) Working in compliance with the company’ s Health & Safety Policies/SOP’s including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure. Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities. To perform other related duties and projects as assigned. To perform organoleptic testing related activities including taste testing. Work in Labware LIMS to log in samples, query information and produce C of As as needed. Printing and filling out contract lab requisitions. Sending out samples to contract labs in a timely and accurate manner. Logging and maintain retain samples. Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements Post-Secondary diploma or degree in laboratory sciences an asset. Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly. Strong command of the English language preferred. Work independently and with minimal supervision.
