Develop and implement high-quality animations for characters, environments, and other game elements that fulfill design and technical specifications.Optimize and debug animation assets to enhance performance and maintain technical quality.Uphold animation best practices and standards to build sustainable, performant, and maintainable animation systems.Contribute to technical design documentation, clarify animation requirements, define tasks, and participate in peer reviews.Effectively plan and provide realistic progress updates to managers.Proactively identify risks and devise innovative solutions to mitigate their impact on the game.Stay updated with the latest animation technology advancements and advocate for their beneficial use in the game.Senior Gameplay AnimatorNomad's Way Game Studio is seeking an experienced Senior Gameplay Animator to take part in our upcoming survival game project. This role involves creating high-quality animations that bring our game characters and environments to life. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement animations that enhance gameplay, ensure technical quality, and create engaging player experiences.Required Experience and Skills:Proficient in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender) with a strong understanding of animation principles.Skilled in creating realistic and stylized animations for characters and environments.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all team members.Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and artistic skills.Experience with Unreal Engine.Knowledge of technical considerations and best practices for animation in online games.Experience in animating for PVE, open-world, co-op, and survival genres.Preferred Qualifications:Over 3+ years of professional game development experience, specifically in having shipped titles with AAA quality art, animation and gameplay.Familiarity with motion capture and its integration into animation workflows.Experience in designing and implementing various animation systems (e.g., character rigs, procedural animation).Understanding of game mechanics and design principles related to animation.At Nomad’s Way Game Studios, we pride ourselves on providing a unique and rewarding work environment that champions flexibility, impact, and innovation.
