Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington creates housing affordability within multiple projects throughout Wellington County. Its leadership in this area relies on the support from multiple partnerships, investors, and donors.

Habitat for Humanity operates across multiple revenue and funding sources to support affordable housing. Several projects are underway; more are in the planning stage. Each project involves combinations of distinct partnerships and funding/financing solutions.

Candidate will have experience with monthly/annual financial reporting and related metrics, cash management, and oversight of administrative controls within the following areas:

  • Management experience of residential construction projects;
  • Housing sales including assumption of mortgages and related taxation issues;
  • Statutory and other filings with both non-profit and for-profit companies;
  • Establishing and complying with financier requirements;
  • Fundraising activities;
  • Retail activities within non-profit re-seller stores.

The following experience will be helpful:

  • Sage accounting systems, and/or demonstration of the ability to port from Sage to another system of choice;
  • Comfort operating within a National federation and its related compliance with brand licensing requirements.

As one of the key leaders of Habitat’s success, candidates will demonstrate technical proficiency and promote their active leadership of a team from in front, alongside, and behind as necessary. They will establish their leadership via analysis, planning, and communication to diverse stakeholder groups.
