This person will perform general civil engineering and design activities involving:Site preparation Drainage Paving for mining and heavy industrial projects. If you are looking for an opportunity to lead civil projects related to the mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors, this is a great opportunity. li>Leading the civil project team through to completion of assigned projects in areas of bulk earthworks, site drainage, mine and plant roads, and earth and mine tailings structures design.QA/QC of design calculations and contract documents.Assuming responsibilities of discipline practice on assigned project scope.Working collaboratively with the project managers and multi-discipline design teams.Quality control – Drawing and calculations checking and verification.Civil Engineering degree from a recognized engineering program Licensed Engineer within the province of Alberta preferred Site grading design Drainage design, storm sewers design, and storm management Sanitary sewers design Thorough understanding of the design process including the application of civil design software packages.Previous design experience in bulk earthworks, site grading, storm drainage, access and haul roads, and earth structures for large sized projects.Previous experience leading, mentoring, and motivating junior civil engineers.
