Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large equipment. Duties And Responsibilities Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment Requirements Must be a certified Red Seal 421A Technician 5+ certified years of experience working on heavy equipment Passionate about working on heavy equipment Clean abstract required Mechanically inclined Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Employee Benefits OT after 44 OT Family oriented work environment Attractive, competitive compensation for qualified candidates Internal growth opportunities Training and development opportunities Benefits, Wellness and Pension Plans The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the classification.
