  • Lead Talent Development and Performance Management for the Deli department team. Guide direct reports to set challenging and realistic goals for themselves on an annual basis, aligning with the Performance Management process.

  • Ensure standards of the department’s presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering,and delivery of customer service.

  • Maintain inventory controls, image, and fixed assets, and perform administrative responsibilities.
  • Be a mentor and coach to team members and provide exemplary customer service to all our customers.

Who you are :

You have 3-5 years of related experience in a retail environment with 1 year of Supervisory or Leadership experience; preference will be given to those with Deli experience. You demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to work well within multi-generational teams.Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and able to set and adjust priorities and schedules for themselves and their team.

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be capable of operating tools / equipment required for the preparation, merchandising, and sale of Deli products. Experience and knowledge of the Deli Department in a supermarket or delicatessen are an asset
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures (freezer or cooler)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook and Excel); able to adapt to new technology
  • Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • Action-oriented with a positive, energetic approach
