They are near-shoring from their New York office and moving their operations to Montreal which is exciting news This is a chance to join a very stable environment as these roles already existed in New York before the move. They have a number of positions to fill and are hoping many will be excited to be a part of their new start in Montreal.

Title: Chief of Staff

Location: Montreal

Work model: Hybrid, 2 days remote work allowed

Type of position: Full time and permanent

Salary: To be discussed, + bonus + 4 weeks vacation + RRSP Matching

In this role, the Chief of Staff will serve as our project manager and supervisor of our administrative team, providing Canada Management Team support on strategic initiatives, preparation of key presentations, manage general secretary functions of main governance committees, write and update relevant internal procedures in coordination with business lines. Transversal projects will mostly involve IT & Operations strategic evolutions and business-related transformations. The administrative team under the Chief of Staff supervision will include an Office Assistant and an Executive Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief of Staff is in charge of:

  • Adapting to local environments
  • Updating and maintaining all relevant procedures of the bank in coordination with the business lines
  • Taking minutes of main governance committees
  • Project management consisting of supporting and leading the coordination of strategic IT, Operations and the business’s future potential transformations
  • Managing the administrative pool with an Office Assistant (in charge of reception, travels, and expense reports) and an Executive Assistant (in charge of agendas, senior management support, and internal & external events)

Required Qualifications:
  • Strategic understanding of IT, Operations and Corporate & Investment Banking sectors
  • Post-secondary education
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant environment
  • Experienced project manager with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong writing, PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently within time constraints
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills with attention to detail
