This role collaborates closely with plant operations, finance, procurement and supply chain to ensure accurate costing and inventory control.Location: Wheatley OntarioResponsibilitiesAnalyze and monitor manufacturing costs and variances.Prepare cost reports and financial statements to provide insights for management decision makingPrepare, analyze and present budgets and forecastsDevelop standard costingLead month‑end and year‑end close processes related to cost accountingEnsure compliance with internal controls and audit requirementsDrive continuous improvement in cost tracking and reporting systemsQualificationsPost secondary education in accounting, finance or similar field of study3 years’ of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferredA professional accounting designationProficient with ERP systems (JD Edwards/Oracle a plus)Advanced in Excel with the ability to develop reports and analyze data to provide strong recommendations to senior leadership.Supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentorProven ability to work cross functionallyAbout UsFounded in 1882, J.D.
