About the Role: The WPE Purchasing Assistant is responsible for supporting the purchasing team, by understanding company purchasing policies and procedures, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Essential FunctionsMaintain strong working relationships with our vendorsWork in a team environment, in a high-urgency and fast-paced settingAssist with purchasing document management, including storage and organization in SharePoint, including the use of DocuSignProcess jobsite material requests and issue purchase orders in collaboration with the purchaserAssist with purchase order maintenance, by processing change orders, invoice related reconciliations, and corrections to quantity, pricing or taxesRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards About You: Qualifications2 - 3 years of experience in a relevant purchasing or procurement role2 - 3 years of industry specific experience (electrical supplier or relevant trades experience)Prior experience in using JD Edwards is an assetPrior experience in using DocuSign is an assetPreferred EducationHigh school diploma or GED is requiredPost-secondary education in a related field is an assetKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesFamiliarity with procurement processes, software and vendor managementExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective time management and ability to problem-solveProficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and WordProficiency in using Adobe Acrobat What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsCommensurate with experience, paid weekly.
