As a Meter Data Analyst, you will support internal and external stakeholders with meter data analysis, ensuring data is synchronized properly across the AMI (Advanced Meter Infrastructure), the centralized meter data repository (MDM/R), the CIS (Customer Information System) and utility-owned MDM (Meter Data Management) or utility-owned Operational Data Storage (ODS). You will further support utility clients with improvements to day-to-day procedures, risk identification, and using industry knowledge to quickly isolate problems and recommend solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Collect data and conduct data analysis, review reports, manage and resolve exceptions (errors) across multiple systems.
  • Verify/monitor for AMI meter problems.
  • Issue/manage service orders.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to AMI business processes to determine possible solutions, presenting options to the business which will determine new policies and procedures.
  • Analyze data and identify use cases that translate into business benefits.
  • Prepare a daily summary for customer identifying system SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify and implement new ways to enhance business processes.
  • Update business process documents using MS Word and/or Blueworks Live.
  • Lead regular update meetings with customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and vendors.
  • Assist with ad hoc testing initiatives.
  • Provide cross support amongst the department and with other teams.

Knowledge/Education
  • Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Statistics, or Data Analysis.

Experience

  • Utility sector system experience preferred, including:
    • Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) – OWOC, Sensus
    • Meter Data Management (MDM) – IEE, MeterSense, Savage
    • CIS – SAP, NorthStar
    • MDM/R
