This role collaborates with multi‑functional teams to align cloud solutions with business strategy, ensure scalability, and drive innovation. The portfolio architect provides expert guidance on cloud adoption, migration, and governance, ensuring standard processes are followed throughout the cloud lifecycle. By demonstrating deep technical expertise and strategic vision, this leader ensures the cloud portfolio delivers maximum business value, maintains operational excellence, and supports long‑term growth. What you’ll do Develop and maintain the organization’s cloud strategy, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Architect cloud solutions that support business goals, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Lead cloud portfolio management efforts, evaluating and selecting cloud services and platforms to optimize cost and performance. Collaborate with the Architecture team and partners to assess business requirements and translate them into cloud architecture and technology roadmaps while monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative cloud solutions. Oversee cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and alignment to compliance standards and enforce cloud governance policies, including security, data management, and cost controls. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering and operations teams and develop documentation, guidelines, and standards for cloud architecture and operations. Work closely with vendors and partners to evaluate new offerings and negotiate service agreements. Who you are Legally authorized to work in Canada. Minimum 8 years’ experience in cloud architecture, portfolio management, and enterprise IT environments. Proven track record designing and implementing cloud solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Open Certified Architect) are highly desirable. Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), ArchiMate modeling language, and diagramming tools like Microsoft Visio. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability.
