We dedicate ourselves daily to be the most customer centric, reliable and resourceful logistics and supply chain provider, engaged in providing customizable logistics solutions in order to help our customers get their goods to market rapidly and, in a cost, effective manner.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Dispatcher Manager to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in overseeing the dispatch operations, supporting the Director of Trucking Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong management background, combined with experience in the trucking and logistics industry. As the Dispatcher Manager, you will supervise a team of dispatchers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, while maintaining high safety and service standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in an expanding company.Key AccountabilitiesLead and manage a team of 6 dispatchers, ensuring that operations run smoothly, and goals are achieved.Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the dispatch team, fostering a positive and productive environment.Take responsibility for scheduling and dispatching trucking resources, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and per client requirements.Supervise day-to-day operations when the Director of Trucking is not in the office, making critical decisions and providing leadership support.Monitor driver performance, safety, and compliance, working closely with the Safety and Compliance Manager.Ensure efficient communication between the dispatch team, drivers, and clients to resolve issues promptly.Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and improve operational efficiency.Ensure that the dispatch team adheres to all company policies, industry regulations, and customer service standards.Qualifications and CompetenciesMinimum of 10 years of experience in a trucking/logistics environment, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.Strong understanding of trucking operations, dispatching systems, and logistics.Experience managing a team of dispatchers or similar roles.Knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations is an asset.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage crisis situations effectively.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Outstanding communication skills in both English and French.Proficient in using dispatch software and other relevant technology.Additional InformationGreat people who work hard and look out for each other because we are a team—it is that simpleJust to name a few of our perks:Flexible health and dental benefits coverage (for all permanent full-time roles).RRSP coverage with the Company matching a portion of employee contribution (for all permanent full-time roles).Tailored training program opportunities for employee development.Employee referral incentive program.Community Involvement.Health & Wellness Program.Hurry, and apply nowMEDLOG is an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome and encourage applications from all interested parties.
