Commissary Lead – Remote Lodge Cochrane, ON Join to apply for the Commissary Lead – Remote Lodge Cochrane, ON role at Aramark Canada. Job Description The Commissary Lead is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the daily operations of the Commissary. This includes receiving and processing incoming stock, preparing and completing orders for delivery to inmates, performing inventory and quality control, and supervising staff. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Job Responsibilities Accountable for maintaining a culture focused on safety as a core value. Deliver exceptional customer service skills and handle customer concerns professionally. Maintain weekly inventory of all products and supplies in the commissary. Advise management on inventory levels on a weekly basis. Open and close the commissary on the scheduled basis. Place orders for commissary stock and supplies as needed. Maintain and count inventory accurately and regularly. Maintain, refill, and restock vending machines on site. Supervise the Commissary Clerk, providing guidance and support. Must be able to drive on site for vending and inventory duties. Operate the Commissary POS (Point of Sale) system as required. Handle cash, debit, and credit machines. Perform daily cash outs and floats at the end of each shift. Ensure the commissary areas are always tidy, presentable, and free of hazards. Support the janitorial team in maintaining cleanliness of common areas and washrooms of surrounding areas. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience preferred. 1+ years of administrative/retail experience, preferably in a remote camp or retail/hospitality industry. Valid WHMIS certification is mandatory; Food Safe Basic and First Aid certifications are an asset. Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks. Additional certification may be required by work location. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of computers, Microsoft software, and/or POS programs is mandatory. Strong prioritization and time‑management abilities. Ability to work effectively both supervised and unsupervised. Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract; able to drive on site. Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Benefits Comprehensive benefit packages are offered. Transportation is provided out of Timmins or Cochrane, ON. Travel allowance is available for some areas that are further away. Rotation is 14 days on / 14 days off. Valid driver’s license required. Valid drivers abstract.
