Hello and welcome to our family We are looking for a nanny for our 2 children, ages 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old. We are looking for a start date in late March, until August, but dates could potentially be flexible, with potential for extension for the right person.

We are currently living in Dawson City, which is a unique little town in the northern Yukon. It's the home of the famous Klondike Goldrush of 1898 and retains a lot of quirky historic charm. The sort of wild-west place where people are still out in the wilderness searching for gold. The interesting history behind Dawson City has a attracted a very colourful mixture of artists, adventurers and free spirits to make for one of the more fascinating places we have ever lived. There are activities and events throughout the year, and heaps of adventure on the doorstep, with the nearby Tombstone mountains and lots of opportunities for camping and hiking.

We live right in town and almost everything is within walking or cycling distance - the school, hospital, park, swimming pool, grocery store, etc. It can be very cold and snowy in the winter but beautifully warm and sunny in the summer. Given our latitude, we get almost 24hr daylight in the summer with lots of time in the day for adventures and exploration. It really is a wonderful place to live if you are interested in something completely different and adventurous

Although we live in a small town for now, we are a very well-traveled family having lived and worked in places all across Canada and the world. As such, we are very outward looking and open minded.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and responsible person to care for our children. Our kiddos are very energetic and happy, and thrive on having lots to keep them both intellectually and physically stimulated. The specific work would primarily involve looking after the two kiddos - creative play and nature based activities are of high importance, as well as getting outside to play as much as possible.
In addition, we would prioritize candidates who can help with light house duties (mostly just tidying up after the children) and some help with meal prep.

Rate is negotiable based on experience, and accommodation is provided in a private suite (with your own bathroom and kitchenette) attached to our house.
