Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Director, Manufacturing Operations. This role will direct and control all aspects of the P&L via production KPIs, quality assurance, sales, and administrative segments of the Plant operations. b>

  • Directs operations of a multiple shift manufacturing facility.
  • Lead and develop a customer centric production team.
  • Develops business plans and annual budgets focusing on profitability.
  • Oversees the effective management of inventory, warehousing, scheduling, and on time delivery.
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
  • Full accountability for financial performance from creation of budget to actual monthly P&L performance, including such tasks as forecasting, variance reporting, budgeting, etc.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the business including backlogs, schedules, markups, costs, and pricing to ensure good business decisions are made daily.
  • Lead facility specific sales; reviewing and managing RFP’s and contracts to daily pricing decisions.
  • Selects, develops, trains, and motivates staff to ensure attainment of short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards for all employees.
  • Supports the implementation of automated systems throughout the facility.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' broad management experience.
  • Prior experience building and leading teams.
  • Working knowledge of all functional areas (manufacturing, finance, sales/marketing, etc.).
  • Intermediate PC Skills - Computer/measurement systems knowledge; proficient in spreadsheet applications, web browser/internet navigation.
  • Strong planning/organizational skills, results oriented.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate employees.
