Continuing Care Assistant Shannex Incorporated (Parkland Saint John - Tucker Hall - Cohen Hall), Saint John, New Brunswick. About the role We are searching for a Continuing Care Assistant (PSW) to join our team in Saint John. This role supports residents with daily living activities, promotes dignity and safety, and contributes to a positive living environment. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilization. Collaborate with the resident and interdisciplinary team in developing individualized resident care plans. Assist in planning and implementation of resident leisure activities daily. Perform light housekeeping duties. Perform delegated nursing acts per company policy and scope of practice. Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to a supervisor. Qualifications Valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or Provincial Personal Care Worker course, or equivalent. Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire. Valid CPR & First Aid certification or BLS, required. Advanced proficiency in English; French proficiency is an asset. Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset. Experience in elderly care in long‑term care or senior living an asset. Passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors receive quality care. Benefits Approximate hourly wage: $30.75 - $32.67. Free onsite parking.
