Find out more about our commitment to diversity and inclusion by reading our Foundational Principles on our website. br/> The BC SPCA is a dynamic organization with facilities and services across the province of BC. br/> Reporting to the Senior Director, Community Animal Centres, this position ensures the effective delivery of all applicable BC SPCA programs and services within the designated communities/region. The Senior Manager regularly liaises with other BC SPCA departments for the delivery of provincial programs at the local level. This includes but is not limited to the delivery of animal services in the Animal Centre, fundraising and stakeholder relationship management, community engagement and outreach, and humane education programming. This position is also responsible for regular liaison with other Senior Managers within the Animal Care Services department to ensure consistency in program implementation. Key functions also include building relationships with other stakeholders in the organization, managing an area budget, and participating in strategic planning. Management & Leadership: In conjunction with provincial departments, ensures seamless implementation and successful execution of all BC SPCA programs and services in the area.Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, annual goal setting, performance management, and termination of direct reports ; li>Acts as the community ambassador/representative of all BC SPCA programs, policies and procedures and uses effective change management techniques to ensure high rates of success in implementation and compliance.Experience working in non-profits, animal welfare organizations, and/or with volunteers would be considered an asset.
