Job Summary:

Kōst is looking for Bartenders that will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies and collect money for drinks served.

The Bartenders show attention to detail in all of their work. Cleanliness is key and maintained throughout service and they will always go out of their way to take care of our guest's and any special requests. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform delegated tasks from Executive Chef, Sous Chef and/or General Manager.
Receive, prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, as ordered from patrons and/or waitstaff.
Ensure that snacks, fruit and other garnishes are prepared and stocked ahead of the opening of the bar.
Maintain the bar, keeping it clean and organized at all times,
Display glasses and liquor in an attractive manner.
Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
Collect payment from customers for drinks prepared and served.
Use proper judgement and, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
Submit orders or create requisition forms for liquor, beer and other bar-related supplies.
Other duties as assigned or required.

Skills/Requirements
2-3 years' experience as a bartender.
SMART Serve is a requirement.
Completion of mixology, bar-keeping or other related training is an asset.
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
Ability to learn cash register software used by the bar or restaurant.
Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Prolonged periods of walking and/or standing.
Ability to lift items of up to 40 lbs.

Note: salary will be dependent on experience.
