Job Summary

The Sales Associate at The UPS Store plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our day-to-day business. This position is responsible for providing superior customer service, handling shipping and packaging services efficiently, driving retail sales, and managing various administrative tasks. We are seeking a candidate who is not only academically qualified but also brings a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide a warm welcome and professional assistance to all customers.
  2. Expertly process shipping orders, leveraging in-depth knowledge of UPS services and products. Full training will be provided.
  3. Ensure items are packed securely, adhering to UPS packaging standards and customer preferences.
  4. Conduct transactions accurately, handling cash and card payments at the point of sale.
  5. Maintain the store's appearance, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  6. Offer comprehensive solutions for printing, copying, and small business services.
  7. Efficiently manage store opening and closing procedures as needed.
  8. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive resolution.
  9. Assist with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and tracking merchandise.
  10. Stay up-to-date with promotions, pricing, and services to provide customers with accurate information.
  11. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and sales targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in retail, customer service, or a sales-oriented role.
  3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Proficiency in basic computer operations and mathematics.
  5. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
  7. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  8. A positive, team-oriented attitude.
