With offices across Canada, the US, and Mexico, we continue to grow.We are looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer with a strong background in construction engineering in the infrastructure sector to join our team, based out of our Kelowna office. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, execute, and manage the design of a variety of structural projects.ResponsibilitiesPreliminary to detailed design of industrial structures including concrete foundations and steel structures. Carry out estimates of project costs, complex analysis and calculations, design review, and preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation.Collaborate with the project team to develop drawings and specifications.Perform new structural designs, evaluate existing structures, and perform inspections.Interface directly with project managers (PMs), contractors, and team members to define project requirements and expectations.Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets and with high quality standards.Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues with the PMs as they arise.Offer support, mentoring, and guidance to other structural team members.QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, specialized in structural engineering.Registered or eligible to register as a P.Eng.6+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering or heavy industrial structural design within a consulting environment.Experience with heavy equipment foundations, dynamic analysis, seismic design, and national building codes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary environment.Technical competence and strong attention to detail.Proven leadership and mentoring ability.Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.BenefitsFlexible work schedule and location.Comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental coverage and RRSP contribution matching.Employee Assistance Program.Culture of respect and inclusivity.Professional development and growth opportunities.Team Member Referral Program.Paid “Volunteer Day.”Monthly “Lunch & Learn” sessions.Opportunities to participate in community initiatives.Allnorth is an equal opportunity employer.
