Manager, Cash Management Business Banking - Halifax (temporary assignment 12 months) Location: This is an in office position, please note this position is located in Halifax Nova Scotia, 5251 Duke Street, Duke Towers. Purpose: Leads/oversees and contributes to the overall success of CMCC Business Banking / Business Banking in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Accountabilities: Leads and drives a customer-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge Lead and coach a team of Cash Management Specialists by providing direction, guidance, and support to team members who support referrals from partners, in addition to overseeing a proactive call strategy. Resolve any issues and concerns raised by clients and/or partners Develop new and expanded relationships with national partners across the branch network and private banking offices to expand our current business and identify new growth opportunities Planning and leading team meetings/huddles/business development planning sessions to ensure accountability and a world-class customer experience Contribute insight and knowledge to business lines and product groups to improve the overall user and customer experience. This would often involve piloting new concepts in a test-and-learn environment Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team Education / Experience / Other Information: University degree in Business, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent work experience You must possess strong interpersonal skills, communication, coaching, judgment, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills High degree of flexibility required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Location(s): Canada : Nova Scotia : HalifaxScotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
