Senior Manager External Reporting and Accounting Policy Integrate sustainable, low‑carbon Canada‑wide operations and deliver quarterly and annual external reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS for Ontario Power Generation (OPG). This senior, client‑facing role ensures compliance, leads complex accounting discussions, and provides guidance across all OPG subsidiaries. The Senior Manager prepares financial statements, MD&A, news releases, and AIF, coordinates audit engagements, and manages disclosure & controls programs, all while driving policy development and team performance. Base Location: Oshawa, ON Shift: Days Travel: Up to 10 % Deadline to Apply: December 3, 2025 Salary Range: $129,000 – $206,000 per year Job Overview As Senior Manager, External Reporting and Accounting Policy, you will be responsible for ensuring annual and quarterly disclosures meet securities commission and contractual requirements. You will produce and review financial statements, MD&A, AIF, and press releases for regulatory bodies such as the Ontario Securities Commission and Ontario Energy Board, as well as rating agencies and shareholders, using US GAAP and IFRS. Strong knowledge of SEC, SOX, and emerging technical accounting will enable you to advise senior leadership on policy enhancement, controls, and peer benchmarking. You will also lead a high‑performance team, driving clarity, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities Prepare and oversee annual and quarterly financial statements, MD&A, news releases, AIF, and other external reporting documents. Review and comment on OPG’s and subsidiary reports for compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Monitor and finalize internal analyses and comment letters on exposure drafts and external accounting developments. Support implementation of corporate accounting policies and processes that meet US GAAP and external reporting obligations. Collaborate with external auditors to resolve complex accounting and finance issues. Lead disclosure & controls programs to support quarterly and annual certification data for the CFO and CEO. Direct, develop, and evaluate a team focused on performance, quality, and adherence to corporate behaviour expectations. Qualifications University Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and CPA (or equivalent) required. 7+ years of experience in public company audits or external financial reporting processes. 3+ years of audit work within a public accounting firm. Experience on regulated operations and complex technical accounting (e.g., asset retirement obligations, pensions, impairment). Proficiency in US GAAP, IFRS, and jurisdictional requirements such as SEDAR, SEC, 52‑109, and SOX. Ability to research, analyze, and model complex accounting issues. Experience creating, implementing, and maintaining global accounting policies and technical memos. Strong communication skills for supporting audit committees, boards, and senior leadership.
