Predominantly ambulatory, we have up to date equipment for use on the road and in the purpose built clinic. p>
This role is full-time and includes 1:5 weekend on call and one evening a week on call.

Salary – negotiable depending on experience
- To provide excellent ambulatory and clinic based diagnostic examinations and treatments
- To provide excellent customer care.
- To provide clinical teaching/supervision to undergraduate students
Principal Accountabilities (the list is not exhaustive but includes the main tasks):
- To perform medical and surgical diagnoses, treatments and procedures to the standards expected by the RCVS
- To contribute towards the continuing growth of the practice by providing excellent customer and patient care
- To perform duties by supervising of students undertaking the tasks below as and when appropriate
- To record all case records within the appropriate timescale
- To ensure that client consent is gained as necessary and that they are aware of and kept up to date with treatment costs
- To follow all practice protocols and policies
- To ensure telephone and email queries are answered
- To ensure that clients are informed of test results and if any further actions or costs are likely
- To contribute to the assessment and delivery of appraisals of students on their practical rotation within the practice
- To comply with the debt protocol
- To ensure the correct pricing and charging of all procedures
- Ensure that animals are properly restrained and use chemical restraint where necessary
- To provide formal and informal tuition of veterinary and nurse students and to assist with practical assessment of the students.
- To be on the rota (aiming for 1 in 5) to provide cover for the relief of pain and suffering in animals
- To perform administrative tasks as required
- To undertake any reasonable requests made by one of the Management team
The skills, abilities, experience and knowledge outlined below provide a summary of what is required to carry out this job effectively.
At least 2 years clinical experience including the ability to work independently
Ambulatory experience
Ability to multitask
Additional medical or surgical qualifications (e.g. RCVS certificate or AVP)
Good organisational skills
Been involved in training undergraduates
MRCVS
Good team player with good interpersonal skills
Flexible approach to work with a clean driving licence
Be available to work between 8am - 7.30pm weekdays
