Overview We are looking for a Spanish‑speaking Sales and Alliances professional based in or able to commute to Colombia to join Canonical’s global teams. The role focuses on driving revenue growth in the technology industry with a deep understanding of Linux, cloud, and open‑source ecosystems. Location Remote opportunities available worldwide. This particular posting requires Spanish proficiency and knowledge of the Colombian market. Roles & Responsibilities Advance a deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystems and open‑source selling models. Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms. Build and expand strategic relationships with partners and customers. Own the strategy and development of sales engagements. Grow customers’ awareness of open‑source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu. Deliver on targets, objectives, and provide a voice of the partner/customer. Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person. Align and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow, and transact opportunities. Work closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Product Management to deliver on targets and objectives. Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and Canonical leadership. Candidate Profile Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in the technology field. Experience with Linux and open source. Exceptional academic background, whether from high school, university, or alternative pathways. Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative of a chosen path. Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation. Leadership and commitment to skills development and mentorship. Passion for technology evidenced by personal projects and initiatives. Strong work ethic and confidence to shine alongside motivated colleagues. Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability. Appreciative of diversity, polite and effective in a multicultural, multinational organization. Self‑motivation, results‑orientated mindset, and high personal drive to meet commitments. Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long and more regularly to meet clients and partners as required.
