About The Role As the Area Conference & Events Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the success of our Conference & Events operations. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will oversee a team of skilled event professionals, ensuring seamless coordination of all meetings, conferences, banquets and special events across the region. You’ll oversee the end‑to‑end management of all events from corporate meetings and gala dinners to weddings and large‑scale conferences, ensuring flawless delivery, strong client relationships and maximum profitability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact across multiple properties, working in partnership with General Managers and department heads to elevate service standards and deliver outstanding results. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop Conference & Events teams across multiple hotel sites. Oversee event planning, operations and post‑event review processes. Drive revenue growth through effective yield management and proactive sales strategies. Collaborate with Sales, F&B and Operations teams to deliver seamless event experiences. Maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and suppliers. Monitor performance metrics, budgets and service quality across all event spaces. Support innovation in event design, sustainability initiatives and guest engagement. About You Extensive experience in Conference & Events Management, ideally within large‑scale hotels or multi‑venue environments. Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop high‑performing teams. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecast revenue and analyse performance. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills. A proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation. A strong eye for detail and the ability to anticipate client and guest needs. Proficiency in hotel systems such as Opera, Delphi or similar event management platforms (preferred). Full working rights in Australia.
