Position and ScopeReporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Tester will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your responsibilities will include participating in the software development lifecycle, reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide valuable feedback. You will also be creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.
Responsibilities- Participate in the software development lifecycle, providing timely and meaningful feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Perform a mixture of automated and manual testing.
- Test new releases, patches, and actively participate in release management.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers, project managers, client services) to identify system requirements.
- Assist in solving escalated software issues.
- Help update and revise product documentation.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and knowledge of design patterns.
- Proven track record in software development and software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing techniques.
- Working knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience testing Java applications and/or web applications.
- Familiarity with SQL databases.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles from conception to final delivery.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Passionate about fostering continuous improvement through collaboration. Enthusiastic about contributing to a role with diverse responsibilities.
- Ability to manage stress effectively, given the critical nature of software issues. Proficient in multitasking to handle simultaneous projects.
- Eagerness to learn new skills in the dynamic realm of technology. You have a flexible and dynamic personality with a “Can Do” attitude. You are legally authorized to work in Canada.

- $40K - $60K.
