In this versatile role, you will be involved in the design and review of electrical distribution projects, and, depending on your experience and interests may also take on project engineering responsibilities. Working closely with the Team Lead, you will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and authenticating distribution designs to ensure they meet quality and compliance standards. You’ll offer guidance and feedback to team members on technical issues and standards, helping to elevate the overall quality of our work.In addition to supporting the team, you’ll also take on individual design projects ranging from straightforward to complex, and contribute to continuous improvement across the group. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on design work and mentoring others, with opportunities to expand into project engineering and a clear path toward progression into a Senior Engineer role.**Major Responsibilities:**Understand and follow company and industry best practices and standards to ensure projects are designed and planned in a manner that mitigates safety risks, construction risks, meets stakeholder requirements and business financial objectives.To provide coverage for the Senior Engineer responsibilities if required.Build relationships and support the Managers/Program Leads business line responsibilities and objectives.**Education Required:****Qualifications & Experience:**Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a strong focus on distribution design In depth knowledge of the technical requirements of electrical distribution design Knowledge and experience with applicable electrical and Utility design codes (IEEE, CEC, AECUC, etc.) Distribution &/or Network Cable Routing & project management experience Experience with municipal and provincial permitting (eg: Utility Line Assignments)Experience with proximity agreement, crossing agreements, etc Knowledge and experience with Bluebeam and PLS-CADD software would be considered an asset **Competencies:** Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to produce high quality designs Well versed communication skills We offer competitive compensation including a comprehensive flexible benefits program, non-downtown location that includes great building amenities such as free onsite fitness facility, onsite massage, onsite child care centre (upon availability, offered from our ENMAX Place location 141 – 50 Ave. SE), free parking and much more.
