OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.What You Will DoAs a Consultant, you’ll lead and work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities includeSupporting key services including general/application control audits and assessments, SOC 1 / SOC 2 / SOC 3 audits, cybersecurity and technology risk reviews, IT infrastructure security assessments, project governance reviews, and ISO assessmentsReviewing new and existing systems for adequacy of controls, security, operational considerations, and project managementAdvising on business process controlsLeading field engagement teams and mentoring junior staffContributing to knowledge sharing through tool development and methodology enhancementsIdentifying and implementing process improvementsEvaluating risks and controls associated with IT applications, operating systems, databases, interfaces, and business cyclesEngaging with clients to understand their environments and needsWhat You Bring to the RoleCompletion of one or more of the following designations is an asset: CPA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISMA post‑secondary degreeMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience in assessing IT or business process risk, ideally within a consulting environmentStrong understanding of business process controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and controls‑based audits/assessments (e.g., CSAE 3416, CSAE 3000, SSAE 18)Experience testing controls across various IT environmentsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or othersKnowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, COSOExperience in client relationship development, project management, and team leadershipProviding You with the Support You Need to Be at Your BestKPMG in Canada is a proud equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and barrier‑free workplace that allows all of our people to reach their full potential.
