We employ over 3000 people across Canada and truly care about our colleagues, clients, and the communities where we work and live.Job DescriptionAs an Assurance Manager [Non-Audit], Privately Held Business Group, your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client serviceLeading the coaching and performance management/development for direct reportsParticipating in the recruitment processPlanning, leading, and executing client engagementsManaging the work assignment and performance of engagement team membersAnalysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returnsProactive problem-solving with engagement teams and clientsApplying strategies for delivering profitable servicesBeing a leader in the Firm by actively sharing leadership for Doane Grant Thornton cultureIdentifying and supporting new business opportunitiesBuilding our reputation as the preferred business advisorsOther duties as requiredRequirementsCompleted post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 4 years’ experience in public accounting or related industryStrong technical knowledge in assurance, accounting, and taxStrong planning and time management skillsAgile in the face of change and proven problem-solverArticulate, inspiring, and versatile communicatorStrong interpersonal skillsTeam player with ability to rally resources and work with othersAbility to establish and develop meaningful business relationshipsStrong people management and leadership skillsSelf-motivated, results-oriented multi-taskerProficiency with MS Office suite and Accounting software applicationsWhat's in it for you?Profit sharing, Flex days, RRSP contributions, Firmwide holiday closure, Wellness benefits, and more.
