Dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist | Building Winning TeamsThe Research Analyst is responsible for providing a range of research and analytical support services to the Calgary office team in their market. The incumbent will provide assistance with the collection and analysis of office market data to provide insights on the market and further enhance our research capability.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare and assist with periodic research publications on the commercial real estate market in Calgary, market commentary, and various materials including presentations, market reports, white papers, as needed.
- Assist in the compilation and verification of quarterly industrial and office statistics.
- Monitor industry statistics and follow trends through report reading and current events and enhance/update current projects with this information.
- Gather market activity by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources and enter it into existing database and/or relevant projects.
- Summarize and communicate analytic findings, insights and recommendations via executive-level summary documents, meetings and presentations.
- Actively participate in meetings of the research and sales teams.
- Actively engage and build relationships within the industry.
- Utilize database knowledge and data manipulation/query tools to manage existing platforms.
- Assist with the review of quality control standards for the Research team and support the research and data collection function.
- Actively look for ways to improve efficiency, capability and/or quality of research processes and deliverables.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Undergraduate degree required. Real Estate or Business post-secondary is an asset.
- 2+ years' experience in research role. Experience in commercial real estate preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft 365 suites including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience in BI, data visualization and GIS tools would be an asset.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills with the ability to confidently present data and market insights to clients.
- Strong networking and relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful.
- Attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
