Cisco Network Team Lead

Cisco Network Team Lead (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or CCIE) – Remote in Canada Only Reports to Director, Physical Infrastructure. Responsible for technical leadership, planning, and supervision of network operations for a large‑scale government client in British Columbia. The role includes architectural design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, mentoring junior staff, and leading complex incidents and projects. Responsibilities Lead network design and implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security standards. Supervise day‑to‑day network and security operations, including change, incident, and problem management. Mentor and train junior staff, providing technical guidance and performance coaching. Develop and maintain network policies, standards, and documentation. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver network upgrades, projects, and operational improvements. Respond to high‑impact incidents, resolve complex technical problems, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on network performance and project status. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a Cisco network or telecommunications team‑lead role. Strong knowledge of WAN routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS). Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, ServiceNow, etc.) and cloud storage/backup technologies. Demonstrated ability to manage disaster recovery, business continuity, and vendor support processes. Excellent people‑management, communication, and coaching skills; ability to work under tight deadlines. Valid CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications are an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
