Occupational Therapist I – Pediatric Community Rehabilitation 5 days ago—Be among the first 25 applicants. You will be a community‑based Occupational Therapist responsible for health promotion and primary rehabilitation for children and their families. In this role you will provide assessment, goal‑setting, consultation and intervention services for children and families aged birth to 18 years. Services are delivered virtually and in person, in AHS clinics and client homes in the Edmonton Zone. You will work alongside Pediatric Physical Therapy, Early Intervention, Speech Language Pathology, and other AHS providers, and support the development, planning, and evaluation of OT services and mentoring of colleagues and students. Description As an Occupational Therapist you will provide evidence‑informed services with a focus on occupational performance. You may act as a direct service provider, consultant, educator or advocate, and function as an integral health‑care team member. Your responsibilities include engaging individuals, groups and communities to enable meaningful and chosen occupations (self‑care, productivity and leisure), supporting clients to achieve optimum functional abilities, providing comprehensive services such as triage, screening, consultation, assessment, diagnosis, collaborative goal‑setting, treatment, prevention, self‑management, education, case management, referral, transition support, and collaboration with stakeholders. You will collaborate with clients and families in determining, implementing and evaluating rehabilitation, participate in inter‑professional teams, contribute to quality improvement, and supervise and support Therapy Assistants, Aides and students. Classification Occupational Therapist I Unit & Program Pediatric Community Rehabilitation Location St. Albert Public Health Centre – eligible to work hybrid (on/off site) within Alberta. Posting End Date 30‑OCT‑2025 Selected Details Employee Class: Regular Part Time FTE: 0.60 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Required Required Qualifications Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). 2 years of community‑based experience working with children aged 0‑18 years. Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing, email, internet access and data entry. Strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem‑solving, planning and organization skills. Experience working in collaboration with community partners and program development. Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS‑HCP). Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed service targets. Preferred Qualifications Recent experience and familiarity with community agencies involved with the target population. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams. Experience with Connect Care. Experience with virtual and group service delivery. Master’s degree (considered an asset). Additional Information Change in shift days and rotation is as per schedule; days off per rotation. Minimum salary $38.90, maximum salary $51.80 per hour.
