With a secure infrastructure and a client-first approach, EraTree bridges the gap between traditional finance and digital assets through transparency, reliability, and speed.Role OverviewThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be the strategic right hand to the CEO, responsible for translating EraTree’s long-term vision into operational and commercial execution. This role combines strategic planning, organizational design, and performance management with oversight of the firm’s trading operations, finance, and compliance functions.The COO will drive scalability, profitability, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring EraTree continues to operate with institutional-grade standards while expanding across Canada and select international markets.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipPartner with the CEO to refine and execute EraTree’s strategic roadmap.Develop and manage annual and quarterly business plans with measurable goals.Lead strategic planning, KPI tracking, and cross-departmental alignment.Oversee strategic initiatives including regional expansion, institutional partnerships, and new service development.Build financial and operational models to guide company growth and resource allocation.Operational ExcellenceOversee daily OTC operations, settlements, and reconciliation functions.Design and implement scalable workflows to enhance trade accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.Coordinate liquidity management, banking relationships, and cash flow oversight.Ensure smooth coordination between trading, finance, and compliance functions.Implement internal control frameworks for multi-entity operations within Canada.Compliance & GovernanceMaintain adherence to FINTRAC MSB regulations and other applicable Canadian frameworks.Work with legal and compliance teams to prepare for audits, filings, and internal reviews.Strengthen internal AML, KYC, and operational risk management policies.People & CultureEstablish a results-driven, high-performance culture across teams.Recruit, mentor, and develop staff in operations, trading support, and compliance.Foster clear communication and collaboration across departments.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or compliance within crypto, fintech, or capital markets.Proven ability to scale or structure early-stage financial organizations.Strong understanding of OTC trading workflows, settlements, and control processes.Demonstrated leadership in building systems, processes, and high-performing teams.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Familiarity with CRM and compliance platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Chainalysis, KYC/AML tools).Why Join EraTreeJoin a trusted, global OTC platform backed by proven infrastructure and cross-border expertise.Stock option plan based on seniority and contributionCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentives.Opportunity to shape client strategy and business expansion from the ground up.Collaborative environment with exposure to both digital asset and institutional finance ecosystems.
