Responsibilities As the Risk and Control Manager you will monitor and assess the design and operating effectiveness of operational controls for Property and Casualty business areas across all lines of business. You will make recommendations on improving processes and controls to mitigate risks, ensuring operating effectiveness through continuous monitoring. You will work closely with stakeholders across the group at various levels of management to manage P&C Insurance Solutions risk. How You Will Create Impact Consulting with business partners to assess impacts of operations and strategic initiatives, identifying risks, informing control development and minimising downstream impacts. Developing impact assessments and risk management action plans, mitigating controls and ensuring accuracy and integrity of P&C Insurance Solutions operations. Creating and maintaining business processes and data flows, evaluating the effectiveness of controls, assessing process limitations and designing new controls to minimise risks. Testing and documenting the effectiveness of controls and assisting the business areas in developing remedial plans. Building a high‑performing team where learning, knowledge sharing and innovation are encouraged and valued. You use critical thinking skills to recognise assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and propose solutions proactively. You have strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and explore diverse points of view. You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support colleague development. To Join Our Team Five years of experience in Auditing, Project Management or Information Technology, with insurance industry knowledge in risk and regulatory compliance. Post‑secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, effective problem‑solving, and people‑leadership experience. Working towards or holding Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Life Office Management Association (LOMA) designation(s). Strong working knowledge of audit methodologies, project management methodologies, flowcharting, control frameworks and risk management techniques. Proficiency in English is essential for the main duties, including servicing and communicating primarily with non‑Francophone clients, drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders.
