Purpose of the functionAs the Medical Science Liaison, your primary responsibility is to serve as a bridge between Daiichi‑Sankyo Canada and Oncology healthcare providers, researchers, and KOLs. This role establishes and maintains scientific and clinical relationships with external stakeholders to support the effective and safe integration of the Daiichi‑Sankyo Oncology portfolio into clinical practice and assists in the development and execution of scientific activities dictated by the Oncology Medical plans.Roles and Responsibilities• Stay updated on therapeutic area knowledge, products, scientific literature, clinical studies, treatment guidelines, and competitor information relevant to the Daiichi‑Sankyo Oncology portfolio.• Develop and nurture relationships with KOLs, academic researchers, and clinical investigators.• Engage in scientific discussions, provide up‑to‑date information, and address questions or concerns related to the company’s products or therapeutic areas in a timely manner.• Develop and execute an external stakeholder engagement plan.• Contribute to pre‑launch and launch activities of new products with scientific support.• Support medical affairs activities and generation and dissemination of data.• Champion the medical value of upcoming Oncology products through scientific interactions.• Support clinical operations by interacting effectively with clinical investigators and research coordinators to ensure successful trial execution.• Identify research collaboration opportunities, including clinical trials and real‑world evidence initiatives.• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Marketing and Sales, Alliance partners) to provide scientific input, support medical strategy, implement plans, and contribute to trial design.• Play a key role in providing medical education to HCPs, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists through presentations, conferences, symposia, and training.• Gather and analyze market insights—competitor activities, emerging treatment trends, unmet medical needs—and provide feedback to internal stakeholders on medical community perceptions, interests, and practices.• Adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines for interactions with HCPs, data disclosure, and promotional activities, ensuring all communications comply with industry standards and regulations.Education & Experience• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent scientific degree) with strong experience in Medical Affairs and Oncology.• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in medical affairs in oncology, clinical research, or related pharmaceutical industry roles.• Preferred: Existing network in lung/breast cancer sectors.Skills and Additional Requirements• Ability to learn, retain, and present detailed scientific information quickly and accurately.• Excellent and engaging presentation, communication, and facilitation skills in front of small and large groups.• Fluency in English; fluency in French is an asset.• Ability to work in a matrixed, multicultural organization.• High self‑motivation, assertiveness, and goal orientation with a "hands‑on" mentality.• Strong ethical standards and compliance mindset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
