Now, we are on the hunt for a Senior Operations Manager who gets that strong operations start with strong people. You are someone who knows manufacturing like the back of your hand, but your true strength lies in leading with humility, passion, driving results through others, and rolling up your sleeves when it counts. You speak fluently in KPIs and regulatory compliance but also in mentorship, team building, and "we before me." Oh, and we have a strict no-jerks policy. Still reading? Good. What You’ll Actually Do (besides be awesome) Build high-performing, low-ego teams that want to show up to work every day. Coach, mentor, and empower leaders at all levels because you know that trust > micromanagement. Create a culture where feedback flows, people grow, and no one hoards knowledge like it’s their grandma’s secret recipe. Address performance issues early, directly, and with empathy because conflict is fine, drama is not. Model the behaviour you expect from others. Yes, even on the tough days. Operational Excellence (with a side of common sense) Keep people safe, quality high, and equipment humming. Ensure products leave the plant as promised, on time, on spec, on budget. Drive continuous improvement, not just continuous change. Balance speed with sustainability because burning out people is not a strategy. Use data, dashboards, and good old-fashioned floor walks to understand and improve performance. Strategy & Financials (not just spreadsheets) Partner with the leadership team to align operations with the big picture, then bring it to life on the floor. Track costs like a hawk, invest like it’s your money, and always ask: "Is this scalable?" Help us grow smartly, not just quickly. Cross-Functional Collaboration (a.k.a. playing nice with others) Work closely with Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Product Development to stay ahead of demand. Build bridges between departments so Operations is always looped in (not looped out). Help us solve complex problems in simple, human ways. You Might Be the One If You: Have 5+ years in a senior operations or director-level role in manufacturing. Have led multi-site teams (cross-border experience = gold star). Can juggle strategy, execution, and people without dropping the ball. Are known for developing other leaders, not just being one. Believe safety isn’t negotiable and quality is everyone’s job. Speak candidly, listen well, and don’t need a translator for "operational KPIs." Are excited by the words "growth," "change," and "let’s try it a new way."
