PROJECT ARCHITECT - HEALTHCARE PROJECTS

Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Project Architect with a healthcare focus to join our team.

You will work with a highly qualified team of healthcare architects, medical planners, and interior designers working on various healthcare projects in Alberta and British Columbia. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and development of healthcare facilities along with engaging clients and teams delivering creative solutions. This position provides the professional an opportunity to work with collaborative teams throughout various project stages delivering innovative healthcare solutions for our clients. Candidates should be experienced in all phases of healthcare planning and design and looking to accept a leadership role.

Role accountabilities:
  1. Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare sector to expand the firm's client base
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  3. Meet with clients and represent the firm at various working groups and lead presentations
  4. Lead the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices in healthcare design
  5. Oversee project teams, providing mentorship and guidance
  6. Lead multiple project teams consisting of Architects, Job Captains, and Intern Architects
  7. Review drawings and specifications for quality control and mentor staff in applicable building codes and construction details
  8. Work individually or as part of a larger team, depending on the size of the project, to complete feasibility studies, development permit applications, building permit applications, and contract documents for tender
  9. Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and qualification packages for new projects as well as collaborate with the marketing team
  10. Be able to travel about 25% of the time to meet clients or to go to project sites
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. 15+ years of experience in the field of healthcare architecture
  2. Licensed Architect
  3. Experience managing and mentoring a team consisting of Architects, Technologists, and Designers
  4. Experience in client engagement
  5. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are a requirement

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
