This management role will require flexibility and the ability to participate in afterhours/weekend on-call rotation for nursing departments.ResponsibilitiesComplete Resident Care PlansComplete Assessment requirements for Falls Prevention Program, medication administration, behavioral managementParticipate in Care Conferences and be part of the Multidisciplinary teamConduct health education to staff and residentsProvide personal care and administer medications as required- assist and fill in for PSW/UCP as requiredParticipate and facilitate committee meetings in the absence of the DOCAdministrative and Clerical tasksAssist house physician when requiredProvide customer service and respond to resident concerns and needsWeekend availability will be required - every 7th weekendParticipate in Emergency / Fire trainingJob RequirementsCurrent Registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent CPR and First AidSupervisory/ leadership skillsMedication Administration Skills using EMar systemPoint of Care experienceKnowledge of Point Click Care is an assetExperience in Retirement Home setting is an assetKnowledgeable of the RHA and The RHRA Legislation'sComputer skills, spread sheets, email & word documentsExcellent Customer Service skills.
