Student, Data Governance Analyst (Winter 2025)

Job Description:

Length of term: 4 months (Winter 2025)

Hybrid/Remote: This co-op opportunity is voluntarily in person, remote or hybrid. If you decide remote or hybrid, you will be required to work within the province. Remote work outside of the province will not be a possibility.

Reporting to the Business Analyst, Data Governance, the Data Governance Analyst, Co-op will assist the SunRise Data Governance Team with documenting data dictionaries, data flows/data lineage, data profiling, and assisting with project management requirements of the workstream.

  • Assist in implementing a data governance roadmap.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Working towards a degree in Commerce (Finance, Accounting), Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Sciences or Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Self-starter and time management skills.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn new technology & business processes/concepts and apply knowledge from these concepts.
  • The ability to code in VB, Python, experience with Tableau and/or financial reporting is an asset.
