Senior Graphics Programmer

OverviewDigital Extremes is seeking a Senior Graphics Programmer. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a cutting edge 3D graphics rendering system, implementing the latest rendering techniques and pushing the visual boundaries of what we can deliver across all platforms. Our graphics programmers work closely with a creative, dedicated, and diverse development team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain code in a fast 3D game engineImplement cutting-edge technology in 3D graphics to games across platformsCollaborate with designers, artists and other engineersContribute innovative original ideas toward all aspects of our 3D technologyMaintain code performance through profiling and optimizationProvide direction for the code architecture of a next-gen game engineWrite clear technical design and specification documentsFoster an open, collaborative team atmosphere by giving and receiving direction and feedbackParticipate with the production team to stay current on project scope and understandingRequirementsPassion for making and playing great gamesExpertise in C++Previous graphics/rendering experienceAbility to implement modern rendering algorithms and familiarity with rendering techniques (volumetrics, lighting, shadows, decals, particles, reflections, PBR workflow, etc.)Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivationAbout Digital ExtremesFounded in 1993 by James Schmalz, Digital Extremes ranks as one of the world's top independent video game development studios.
