We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love working with kids and are not afraid to get wet Under the direction and supervision of the management team, slide attendants will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a safe, enjoyable, swimming experience while at our facilities. Duties could include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising large slides and the splash pad at Henderson Pool.
  • Ensure that all work performed is under safety standards outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety manual and that pursuant regulations are adhered to, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively towards an efficient and effective work environment.
  • As part of a team, respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency by administering first aid when necessary.
  • Enforce pool rules and ensure guest safety while remaining alert and professional.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests.
  • Work as part of a team, follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the management team.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Assisting with other duties or programs as needed.

The following certifications are required:

  • Intermediate (Standard) First Aid CPR-C

The following certifications would be an asset:

  • Lifesaving Instructor

Wage to be determined based on experience and certifications. Employment includes a facility membership, and opportunities for additional training and education. The successful candidates must be a minimum of 15 years of age and will require a Criminal Record Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons search prior to commencing work and must maintain a clean Criminal Record to remain on staff.
